ince 1968, when my father, Michael A. Hasara began his funeral career with the Rost Funeral Home in Lakefield, Minnesota, the Hasara Family have guided families of all faiths through the process of grieving with neighborly concern and professional care. As an independent family owned and operated Funeral provider, we will treat your family with the compassion, dignity, and professionalism that you will not find anywhere else. Our History in Alaska began in 2005, when my mother, Devone and I moved here. Seeing a definite need for professional family service, personalized and affordable options, the Cremation Society of Alaska was born and developed. Hoping to add to our family's traditions, Cook Inlet Funeral Home was acquired in late 2006 from it's founder, an Alaskan pioneer, Mark D. Davidson. Mr Davidson, a resident of Alaska since the 1960's, founded Cook Inlet Funeral Home in 2004.
The Hasara Family serves all of Alaska, from Anchorage, the Mat-su Valley, the Kenai Peninsula, to the Interior Bush, and the Aluetian Islands. Our mission is to carry on our family's hardwork ethic and tradition that has been instilled in us since my father's first day working for the Rost family in southwest Minnesota.
